CHARACTERS:COURAGEOUS OR CORNY?
In literature I am immensely awed by characters , mostly the underdog of the story. Although some people might chose the central character or major. There are different other types of characters that make up a story. As we learned earlier last month you have protagonist,antagonist ,heroes,anti-heroes, and many more,but my favorite type of character is the stock characters..such as the geeky kid with horned rimed glasses with tape on them,constantly being bullied and rejected by society until they do something usually stereotypical in conjunction to winning the day.Then of course my favorite the super-sleuth detective always solving the crime and leaving his trademark words of wisdom to end the story.Characters help me to understand and escape for a moment into a world where....

ReplyDeleteIll have to take the geeky kid with the bandaged glasses. He would definitely be my hero. He a quiet type of character that is always melted into the background an no one notices cause he smells and had obnoxious habits. Because of their brains, those are the characters that wind up getting the beautiful girl in the end and saving the school from a major power shut down. I live vicariously through characters… Good Posting.

DeleteI agree I always root for the underdog or the outkast because I can relate to them more. Once the underdog finds his/herself I never want to stop reading.
